One of my dumbest pet peeves are inspirational posters or anything really that has the quote
“Two roads diverged in a wood and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
on it because while the message is fine that’s not the message of the poem! So many people quote this but if you read the poem the speaker admits that “Though as for that passing there/ Had worn them really about the same,”. The two paths were basically the same he just chose one and is trying to justify his choice in hopes it was the right one. The moral is not take the path less people go down it’s sometimes you’ll come to a crossroads and you just have to make a choice and hope it turns out alright.
I just can’t get over that they pushed back Wicked the movie to make this
